In most situations, you have 31 days beginning the Qualifying Life Event (QLE) date to make changes. In compliance with TX SB 896, you have 61 days to add your newborn to your medical coverage after their birth. Contact the Benefits Call Center at 1-844-880-6774 to process Qualifying Life Events.

Qualifying Life Events (QLEs) 

• Marriage, divorce, or legal separation
• Birth (61 days) or adoption of a child
• Death of a dependent
• Loss or gain of other health coverage for you  and/or dependents
• Change in employment status
• Change in Medicaid/Medicare eligibility for you or a dependent
• Receipt of a Qualified Medical Child Support Order
